Big explosions were reported by Syrian state media at fuel, arms and ammunition depots near Hamas military airport on Friday, May 14. Surface-to air missiles belonging to Iran’s Revolutionary Guards were hit, according to some sources. Sky News in Arabic report dozens of Syrians and Iranians were killed in the blasts. A large cloud of black smoke covering the area indicated the substantial presence of ammunition. According to some sources in Syria and Lebanon, the blast was caused by air or missile attack. A possible Israeli air strike was mentioned. Other sources said the explosions were caused accidentally. In the absence of reliable information, an attack by rebel forces in the vicinity cannot ruled out.
