DPR Army On Full Combat Alert

DONETSK, DPR – The militia of the Donetsk People’s Republic (DPR) have been brought to full combat readiness in case of a possible attack by the Ukrainian armed forces. This was announced by the deputy head of the people’s militia of the DPR, Eduard Basurin earlier today, on Friday December 14.
The situation of escalation: the DPR is waiting for provocations before the elections in Kiev.
The Verkhovna Rada believes that to maintain power, Petro Poroshenko must launch an offensive. This relates both to the the extension of martial law as well as the national mood, reaction of the media, and related questions.
He noted that after receiving information about the impending offensive, the units were manned with personnel and provided with the necessary weapons, equipment and ammunition. In addition, the positions of units was strengthened.
Basurin added that the military had taken measures to disperse the stock of material and created weapons and ammunition caches. Units are ready for resistance.
According to the DPR, the Armed Forces of Ukraine are preparing a large-scale offensive in the south of the Donetsk region using heavy equipment. Kiev planned to take control of the border with Russia.
On December 13, the official representative of the Russian Foreign Ministry, Maria Zakharova, reported on the preparation of the Armed Forces of Ukraine for the attack on the Mariupol sector. She noted that the Ukrainian authorities want to seize the territory of the Azov Sea and go to the border with Russia.
In turn, Deputy Chairman of the State Duma Committee on CIS Affairs, Eurasian Integration, and Relations with Compatriots told Russian media Thursday that Ukraine is deploying military field hospitals and tightening forces to the line of demarcation.
